Today, SHCTC conducted a planned lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety. Students and staff followed established safety procedures, and the drill was completed successfully. These drills are an important part of ensuring that everyone is prepared in the event of an emergency. There was no threat to the building at any time. Thank you for your continued support as we work to maintain a safe learning environment for all students.

Our Construction Technology juniors rolled up their sleeves and got to work, beginning the first step in building picnic tables: carefully measuring and cutting the boards that will soon become sturdy, student-built tables. This hands-on work helps students build confidence with tools, teamwork, and real-world construction skills. Great start, Juniors! Can’t wait to see these tables take shape.

From communication and teamwork to spine stabilization and transport techniques, they’re gaining real‑world experience that prepares them for future careers in athletic training, EMS, physical therapy, and beyond.
