BOARD OF EDUCATION
SOUTHERN HILLS CTC BOARD ORGANIZES
The Southern Hills Career Technical Center School Board of Education held their 2024 organizational meetings well as their regular January board meeting on Tuesday, January 23 at the Career Technical Center at 9193 Hamer Road in Georgetown in the Board Room. Steve Cox was elected board president and Dick Colwell was elected vice president for 2024. Board meetings in 2024 will take place as listed:
Tuesday, February 27, at 6 p.m. at the CTC
Tuesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. at the CTC
Tuesday, April 23, at 5 p.m. at the CTC with the All-County Board Dinner following
Thursday, May 16, at 5:30 at Br. Co. Fairgrounds with the Completion Ceremony following
Tuesday, June 25, at 6 p.m. at the Board Office
Tuesday, August 6, at 6 p.m. at the Board Office
Tuesday, September 10, at 6 p.m. at the CTC
Tuesday, October 22, at 6p.m. at the CTC
Tuesday, November 26, at 6 p.m. at the Board Office
Thursday, December 19, at 5 p.m. at the CTC
The Southern Hills CTC District serves six school districts: Eastern Local, Fayetteville-Perry, Georgetown Exempted Village, Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington, Western Brown—all in Brown County, and the Bright Local District in southern Highland County. The board also has a representative from the Brown County Educational Service Center.
